研究方向

研究方向：嵌入式、多媒体，模式识别、计算机视觉，大数据、云计算；
应用领域：三网融合、智慧家庭，智能监控、森林防火、安防应急，电子政务、智慧环保、智慧校园、智慧城市。

教育背景

1986年7月毕业于武汉测绘科技大学电子工程系，本科。
1988年12月毕业于武汉测绘科技大学计算机系，硕士研究生。

工作经验

1989年1月晋升为武汉测绘科技大学 助教。
1991年1月晋升为武汉测绘科技大学 讲师。
1994年1月破格晋升为武汉测绘科技大学 副教授。
1999年12月晋升为武汉测绘科技大学信息工程学院 教授。
2003年3月担任武汉大学计算机学院工程系 主任。
2006年1月担任武汉大学计算机学院 副院长，分管科研工作。
2006年7月遴选为武汉大学博士生导师。
2010年1月担任武汉大学科学技术发展研究院副院长、产学研合作处处长
2015年12月任武汉大学信息中心主任
